We have an exciting opportunity for a Counter Clerk to join the team at our Horncastle Post Office working 16 hours per week (hours to be worked over 6 days on a rota; Monday – Saturday 8:30 – 17:30).

Working in a post office is not just about selling stamps, our branches provide a wide range of services to the community so having a vast product knowledge is extremely important. As a Counter Clerk you’ll be responsible for selling financial products and services, dealing with letters and parcels, paying out pensions and benefits, accepting bill payments, dealing with vehicle registrations, checking passports and driving licence applications and selling travel insurance and foreign currency.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Maths and English. You will need a good eye for detail with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and preferably have cash handling experience. You will have excellent communication skills, enjoy dealing with customers and have a strong commitment to achieve targets.

Please note that this a fixed term position to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months.
