NHS Property Services are looking for a Support Services General Assistant to provide comprehensive Portering, Domestic and Switchboard duties to high standards in our multi occupancy buildings at Louth Hospital.
Main duties will include safe transportation of patients / deliveries around the site; collection of waste and dirty linen; delivery of meals to ward; switchboard duties and cleaning clinics and corporate areas.
We are looking to appoint a Support Services General Assistant to provide cover for sick leave/annual leave for a variety of shift patterns.
Portering shifts - Monday to Sunday
6.00 am – 2.00 pm
2.00 pm – 10.00 pm
10.00 pm – 6.00 am
Domestic shifts – Monday to Sunday, within the hours of 6.00 am – 10.00 pm
Switchboard shifts – Monday to Sunday
8.00 am – 2.00 pm
2.00 pm – 8.00 pm
The successful candidate will ideally have worked in a Customer Focused environment before and have relevant experience as Support Services General Assistant as well as basic IT skills to include Microsoft packages
It is important that you are a good team player and enjoy helping people, have the ability to work on own initiative and the ability to work under pressure with effective organisational and communication skills and experience of following Standard Operating Procedures and Safe Systems of Work.
