Why choose Walnut Care?

It’s only right that we tell you about us.

Walnut Care is :

  • a family-run home care company,
  • established in 2002.
  • Our team delivers the highest standard of care to adults across Lincolnshire, in the comfort of their own homes..

We are:

  • Lincolnshire County Council’s Lead provider for domiciliary care in Skegness and the surrounding areas.
  • Rated ‘GOOD’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) three years running
  • An Award winning organisation.
  • People-centred, meaning we are passionate about social care and about our staff. We take a person-centred approach – with service-users as well as our staff.
  • Keen on personal development, we actively encourage staff to embark on training schemes and have our own Edexcel Assessment Centre as part of our training and development team, allowing staff to achieve additional diplomas with the help from our in-house, friendly and qualified assessors.

As well as this, we also guarantee:

  • An average of up to 35 hours per week over a fortnight.
  • Your own mobile phone for work purposes
  • Your own uniform, for no additional cost

We also support service-users in a variety of ways. These include:

  • Helping them to cook for themselves,
  • Shopping, domestic and cleaning tasks
  • Assisting them to play an active part in the community.

We have over 200 carers spread across Lincolnshire.

Each carer works within a small team, determined by geographical area.

You will have close contact with your team leader to share ideas and talk over concerns you might have.

We want to empower you, ensuring you reach your full potential.

Why choose domiciliary (home) care?

Home care is about providing care in the community, and with it comes several advantages.

  • Providing home care is about building relationships on a one-to-one basis.
  • Delivering care to a service-user in their own homes allows you to

dedicate a specific amount of time and attention to that one person, as opposed to caring for multiple service users at one time.

  • Home care allows you to deliver a tailored approach to care. By having a personal relationship with the user, you’re in the best position to decide the type of care the service-user needs. As a domiciliary carer, you have the freedom to decide the best possible care for that person and you are given the trust to administer it.
  • No two days are ever the same in home care. Depending on when you’re at work, you’ll visit completely different people each shift.
  • This variety of work is uncommon in other types of care and it’s what we thrive on.

So, what next? How do I find out more?

Why not come and meet us at our next open evening and enjoy some home-baked cakes and a chat? We will be at The New Life Centre, 12 Church Street, Spilsby on Friday 14th June, between 3:30pm-7:30pm.
