Job Description

We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to provide an effective administrative support role to local Service Teams, such as Adult Care, Highways Department, Fire and Rescue, Legal Services and Children's Services.

We have full time permanent and fixed term 12 month Business Support Assistant positions in Skegness.

Your new role with us

This is an interesting and challenging role that can be both enormously rewarding and satisfying through supporting services that help to protect vulnerable children, young people and adults.

You will be providing excellent administrative support including:

  • Producing minutes and documents to an high level of accuracy;
  • Working under your own initiative to meet deadlines and work targets;
  • Working flexibly across a locality to attend a variety of statutory meetings;
  • Demonstrating accuracy and an eye for detail to ensure confidentiality and integrity of all information;
  • All relevant administration tasks to the management and support to a high number of complex, multi-agency meetings across the county.

What you'll need to be successful

We are looking for a candidate who has:

  • The ability to work accurately, efficiently, methodically and in a timely manner;
  • A high level of organisation and administrative skills;
  • Experience of producing detailed minutes within defined deadlines;
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work flexibly;
  • A flexible working style and ability to react to changing work environments or teams;
  • GSCEs or NVQ equivalent as detailed within our Job Description and be willing to undertake a professional qualification through our Apprenticeship scheme.

The ability to be diplomatic and discreet at all times is also essential. Post holders must also be prepared to deal with sensitive information and discussions which may be emotionally demanding due to the nature of some of the work when supporting Safeguarding Conferences.

The successful candidate must have a high degree of flexibility in their working location; have their own transport and be prepared to travel to different venues within Lincolnshire.
