Job Description

St Margaret's C Of E Primary School, Main Road, Withern, Alford. Lincolnshire. LN13 0NB

Salary: Grade G3: 6 to 9 (pro rata).

Number of hours: 16 ¼ hours per week - Term Time Only (38 weeks per year + training days). This is a temporary position, pending a review of the needs of the school.


Required as soon as possible.

We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and motivated a Teaching Assistant to help support pupils on a 1:1 basis in EYFS/Year 1. This will also involve discrete intervention work out of class as we believe in providing our children with the very best support so that they can achieve the very best outcomes.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day to day running of our happy and successful school.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be qualified to minimum NVQ level 2 in a relevant area.
  • Be educated to a good standard in English and Maths (at least grade C or equivalent in English and Maths).
  • Show a commitment to the overall vision, values and ethos of the school.
  • Have high expectations in all aspects of learning and behaviour.
  • Be flexible and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Be able to challenge, motivate and foster independence in our pupils.
  • Be hard working and passionate about engaging children in learning and overcoming barriers.
